FC Saturday Firsts win Southern Amateur League (SAL) Cup

Many congratulations to the FC Saturday first team who won the SAL Intermediate Novets Challenge Cup in some style beating HSBC 3s 6-1.

The OWs dominated the start of the game, quickly establishing a 3-0 lead with the opposition reduced to trying to play long ball to get back into the game. The opposition rallied after half time but failed to capitalise on an improved second half performance and the OWs were comfortable winners in the end.

This is a great start for the OWs in their first season in the SAL and both the Firsts and the Reserves are well placed to win promotion from their respective divisions.

So well done to managers Steve, Buck and Nico and all the lads, hopefully the first of many more to come.
